How @BollywoodGandu unhacked the hacker

I'm going to go ahead and summarize the entire saga that happened with my @BollywoodGandu twitter account being taken over by some child named @AnonAbagnale on twitter.

On Jan 11th the account password was changed and I received an email from Twitter saying the accounts email address had also been changed. I saw a message on my timeline supposedly from me saying my account was hacked and linked to this blog with reasons for hacking.

I parodied his reasons here and then wrote a reply here. There was no response from him, which was expected.

I was still logged in from my mobile device at first but couldn't log in from the web. This is when some of you saw this tweet:

@BollywoodGandu "My penis is so small I pee on my own balls. - @AnonAbagnale."

That was me. Justifiably angry. He deleted this tweet.

From then on till the evening of Jan 14th only he had access to my account. Twitter had been notified, but their response time is worse than your local municipality organization.

So how did I get the account back WITHOUT twitters help?

I figured out the identity of the intruder. How I did this is a bit long winded, but the intruder had left several clues himself. And then I posted this around the afternoon on Jan 14th.

He had to respond and he did via DMs to @CricketGandu - an account I have access to but do not run. I offered him a a way out.

He had to write an apology note on his blog to me and another person he has intruded upon (a user named @amari_deol) and surrender the account to me. In return, I have promised not to expose him.

You can read his sheepish apology note here. Just one minor point - this was no return gift. He had no choice. This is a tweet from him just a day before:

I did get it back. Asshole.

Who is @AnonAbagnale?

After my account was illegally compromised, the culprit - another anonymous account holder (what's with these anonymous accounts right?) called @AnonAbagnale proudly claimed some sort of moral victory and has changed my DP to something he ripped of 9gag. The new DP claims "world peace". This kid is an idiot.

Anyways, here's his response to engaging in criminal activity.

But what if the twitter id and blog lead somewhere? What if it lead me right to who the person behind all this stupidity? So I employed some tricks of myself and I know now the true identity of the culprit.

I have no interest in outing him. All I want is my account returned to me, so I am going to give him one chance. So here goes:

Dear @AnonAbagnale, I know who you are. I know where you live. And also, I have found some very embarrassing things about you that you probably don't want anyone to know.

So now the ball is in your court. Rajat.

A Message for @AnonAbagnale

This is BollywoodGandu. Firstly, I have not made any other accounts so anyone tweeting claiming to be me (besides @CricketGandu) is an imposter.

Secondly, yes my account has been hacked by some self righteous prick who, in his warped mind, thinks he has made some sort of charitable effort by criminally compromising my account. Maybe he was inspired by Sonam Kapoors gut wrenching performance in Players as a computer expert in "Ethical" Hacking. (WTF?)

When I wasn't able to log in...

Regardless, he really hasn't been able to verify any of his reasons for the intrusion.

He says I was being abusive towards celebrities, but several of them follow the account themselves. What's strange is that after accessing my account, @AnonAbagnale direct messaged a few of the celebs who follow me. Aww, looks like the poor boy needed some validation after all.

In fact here's a tweet from one of the Bollywood singers you claim I abuse

"@IAmAnushka: I miss @BollywoodGandu ! He was mean, but he was funny. And most people he made fun of (including me), were cool enough to take a joke."

He says I was a nuisance on twitter and then says (my favorite reason) "He was not funny anymore". These are just opinions my friend, and everyone knows that opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one.

Oh yeah, and then there's the claim of having 450k or more people who "hate" me. Boy, whatever it is that you're smoking - share it.

If he really wants to prove himself as the messiah of the Indian twitter scene (which is the goal right?) maybe he should share the abusive tweets that I publicly made. It's all there on my timeline.

I read on twitter somewhere that he has given an interview on some blog. That's great. Hope he enjoys the attention - while it lasts.

Why I hacked @BollywoodGandu (because I'm a pussy)

Since my account has been hacked, I though an appropriate response should be given.

I think I should first explain why I did not hack, and then get to why I did -

I did not because,

• I needed followers (What I really need is a some female companionship)
• Fame (My mother says I'm the most famous person she knows anyway)
• I was jobless (My job as Talegaon Chief Sanitation Officer pays well)
• I hated him (In fact, I'm just jealous)
• Personal reasons (my childhood battle with piles)

However, I did hack it. And I did because,

• My penis has shrunk to the size where it has become physically impossible to masturbate without the use of clippers
• I got tired of peeing on my balls
• My mother was a hamster and my father smelt of elderberries
• I want to pave a career for myself in Indian politics (I luvz u SoniaG)

What I plan to do with the account?

Nothing. Let it be. No tweets against anyone from it at least. I obviously do not have the ability to understand humour (let alone create it).

What was the point of doing it?

I wanted to prove to the world that I am so lonely that I spend all my time trying to hack accounts. In fact, I got my first girlfriend by hacking into her account and threatening to tell all her secrets to her parents. Good ol' days I tell you.

BTW, if anyone found this bad or is against this action, I am sorry for it. Even though he had 40K+ followers its true he could probably have 400K+ haters too although I have no way to prove any of this.

@AnonAbagnale if you are reading this – You are dumb and you have no sense of humor. Also you've committed a crime as per Indian Information Technology Act 2000 - Chapter IX. So technically, you're also a criminal.
